How does Wording work?
Select text in almost any Mac app and tap Option. Wording improves it and replaces the original. Press Option–Space when you want to give a specific instruction, write a reply, or translate.

Why are rewrite numbers approximate?
A short sentence uses less AI than a long email. Wording measures the actual amount of text processed, so “500 rewrites” is a simple estimate based on typical messages.

Why is additional usage separate?
The subscription pays for the software we built and includes about 1,500 rewrites each month. If you need more, you can buy a top-up close to our cost. If you use less, you pay nothing extra.

How does translation work?
Type or speak in your own language and ask Wording to translate it. English is the default destination, but you can choose another language in Settings.

Does voice processing happen on my Mac?
Yes. The voice model downloads once and runs on your Mac. Your audio is not uploaded for transcription.

What happens to the text I rewrite?
The text is sent securely through Wording to OpenAI to create the result. Wording does not keep a history of what you write.

Which apps does Wording work with?
It works with most places you can type or select text on a Mac. When the original cannot be edited, Wording shows the result in its box and copies it for you.
